Ready to tackle your first cabled sweater? Hana is a relaxed, modular design featuring a beautiful mix of twisted, honeycomb, braided, and other classic cable patterns. Knit in pieces, it's an easy project to take with you wherever you go.
In this 4-part class, Christine will guide you through the construction of the sweater while teaching the techniques that make cable knitting approachable and enjoyable. You'll learn how to read cable charts, cable with or without a cable needle, identify and fix common cable mistakes, and gain the confidence to knit textured garments with ease.
Skill Level: Intermediate. Students should be comfortable knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, and following a basic knitting pattern.
Homework: Before first class, please (1) complete a gauge swatch in stockinette stitch to ensure you are using the needle size best for your knitting and (2) have completed up to Set Up Row 2 for Piece 1. This ensures we can dive right into cable work.
Class price: $170.00 + materials
