Have you ever dreamed of knitting your own sweater but felt intimidated by patterns and seaming? In this five-session series, you’ll learn to create a seamless top-down raglan sweater you can try on as you go—no sewing required!
You’ll gain confidence in customizing your fit, understanding ease, and making modifications along the way. Perfect for intermediate knitters ready to take the next step in their knitting journey.
Class Schedule: The following Saturdays, 10 am - 11:30 am
Saturday, 1/3 - Measuring & Cast On
Saturday, 1/17 - Yoke Increases
Saturday, 1/24 - Split for Sleeves
Saturday, 2/28 - Finish body & pick up sleeves
Saturday, 3/7 - Finishing
Skill Level: Intermediate knitters who are comfortable with knit, purl, increasing, decreasing, and working in the round.
Class Preparation: *Before first class, please complete a gauge swatch in stockinette stitch using your larger needle size. To learn more, watch this video to learn how to make a swatch in the round.
Class price: $155.00 + materials
NOTE: We ask that all yarn for classes be purchased in the shop. Discounts of 10% will be applied. Materials can be purchased at the shop prior to class.
Materials:
Pattern: Flax Worsted by Tincan Knits
Needle sizes: US 6 and US 4 circular needles
Yarn: 880-2000 yards (805-1829 m) worsted weight yarn
Removable stitch markers
Waste yarn
Tapestry needle
Please complete a gauge swatch in stockinette stitch before the first class.
