Garment Sizing for Knitters & Crocheters

This class is for both knitters and crocheters—because everyone deserves a perfect fit! You put so much time, effort, and love into your handmade garments, so don’t leave the fit to chance.

In this workshop, you’ll learn what ease means, how and where to measure to ensure the right fit, and how to read a schematic with confidence. We’ll also cover how to measure your swatch accurately, explore tips for making modifications, and discuss how blocking and yarn types can affect the finished shape and drape of your garments.

Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced - All are welcome!

Materials:

Sweater pattern of your choice

Knit or crochet a swatch as the pattern calls for and bring to class

Tape measure

A sweater or top from your closet that you love how it fits!

Optional: notebook to record your measurements

Class Size: 10 person max. Must have 2 registered for class to occur.
